Lame n idiotic: Final wk on drivin phase

The final outfield day of my 1st 2 mths in ATI. Day tank drivin test n nite tank drivin test. The most sian thing is b4 the test, it started 2 rain. 这次真的 ho seh liao! End up wif hav tank knowledge test 1st. Ha i find conductin officer 2 conduct my test n heng all the 5 qns he asked i can ans. 1 test dwn 2 more 2 go.

When CAT 1 is lifted, we started the drivin test. While waitin, i tried 2 recap all those mistakes i made durin the drivin practice. Sian the onli thing tat will nvr fail 2 come across my mind will b the bloody gullies. Super stressed n keep sweatin until sgt saw liao tot i got some pespiration prob n ask me water parade again. Goose fraba goose fraba... Breathe in breathe out... Worse than takin A lvl.

My turn... I climbed up the tank, passed the test bklet 2 the tester n wanted 2 go in2 the driver hatch. Wah i tot i saw some lao sai left by the prev driver. i was like wad the fish was tat! Cheh mud lar n i juz sat on it.

Instructor: Driver, start ure engine (machiam the daytona wan)
Den i juz voiced out the startin procedures n do s accordingly. After tat, i juz switch my helmet 2 intercom mode 4 easy communication wif the instructor standin @the cmmder hatch.
Instructor: u may proceed.

Once i started movin, dunno y nt so nervous liao. Tis time win liao i broke my record n travelled @ 30km/h 4 some while b4 hittin my 1st obstacle.
Instructor: Driver slw dwn! I dun wan 2 fly out of the cmmder hatch!
Wah super heng 1st few obstacles i cross smoothly despite the instructor askin me 2 slw dwn.

Finally reached the gullies. i stopped my tank n aligned my tank accordingly. @ tat time, i juz told myself juz fuck it n i stepped on the accelerator.
Instructor: Erm driver b careful hor! i dun wan 2 end up on newspaper 2ml instructor die bcoz of reckless driver drivin on gullies. I wld rather die in war than due 2 tis incident!
Me:......... totally speechless
1st three slopes up n dwn smoothly...Hweva the last 1. i accelerate upslope den release accelerator. hw come the tank nvr move dwn?
Instructor: Driver, wad the fish u doin? u tik u frm some circus, balancin a tank on the slope.

Upon hearin tat, i accelerate a bit den s the tank went dwn, i release accelerator 2 let it roll dwn smoothly. Just s i wanted 2 continue 2 the main rd, a Armour inf vehicles juz zoomed past n heng i zham brake or else i tik my instructor flew out liao.
Me: Fuck! (nt knowin my helmet @ intercom)
Instructor: U scold me ar?
Me: No sgt
Instructor: u fuckin cb. nvr c other vehicle comin ar. U realli wan me 2 die ar?
Me: ...No sgt (walau eh i no side mirror on the periscope hw 2 c whether got vehicle comin)

After tat, cross a few more obstacles smoothly n went back 2 startin pt.
Instructors: Erm still ok xcept 4 ure last gullies. Ure acceleration sometime like got shit stuck nt constant. Den u r nt wad alonso or wad marker(schumacher) lar dun travel so fast lar! (... last time say i slow nw say i 2 fast.)
Me: Yes sgt (Ctrlin my laffter)
Instructor: u got 60. Happy like bird u pass rite?
Wah i realli happy like bird upon hearin tat. After tat evenin nite drivin even better. Drove 1 small rnd w/o any obstacles n passed.

The nxt day got stripped rd wheel n tracks test. Tis 1 nt so jialat s drivin so i ended up passin. Den the funny thing happened:
My fren stripped the track got stuck n formed 2 rnds. Den 1 of sgts super happy.
Sgt: Wah huat liao lar. Kong kong leh! Kin Meh Ho seh liao lar! Come 1,2,3 n 4 choose 1?
Fren: 3.
Sgt: Wu ya bo? Arg vs holland leh. Arg last match scored 5 goals n tis match u say 0-0 u wan me 2 por gai ar?
Den he saw the tank no which is 21
Sgt: 2+1=3 okok trust u lar
Wah tat nite realli end up holland n arg zero zero. Tik he muz hav realli bought ba!

Finally drivin package over liao n i can hav license liao. Sian but got 2 wait 1 mth 4 them 2 issue u the license. Tokin abt tat, until nw i still haven got my black beret which they always say soon. Realli sick of wearin jockey cap liao. Tis wk got touched abit on gunnery phase liao. Learn abt machine gun n tactical handling. Most of the day spent "gunners strip MG or gunners assemble MG" in a designated time.

Tis wk oso heard some odd stories n bad news. My frens in the bunk bside mine kept complainin sometimes all of them will wake up @ 3.30 2gether. N one of them felt tat something is nt right n he told me he felt tat the place nt veri clean... Makin me more scared. Heng nw i nvr go toilet in the middle of the nite. The worst is durin my stay in ATI, i will spend my hungry ghost festival in the camp. S a welfare IC, i tik i wld suggest 2 my sgts tat we burn some offerings durin tat mth hopin tat nothin will happen durin tat mth. U can say i superstituous or wad lar. But better 2 believe than nt 2 lar. Somemore i can tell u tis do help.

The worst of all will b most of our live firin will b durin tat mth oso. One of our sgt said tat we will go 2 a range in jungle so called nt veri clean. Got quite a no of occurence b4. Got once he is leadin n guiding a gunner n driver in his tank 2 a place 2 shoot @ a tgt durin nite live firin. Suddenly the driver stopped n my sgt was quite amazed n thru com n kept askin the driver y he stopped thru com. Hweva the driver nvr say anithing. So my sgt alighted n went 2 ask him. My sgt was so shocked 2 c the driver face super pale. After tat live firin, the sgt asked the driver wad happend. The driver told him thru the night vision device while he was drivin close hatch, he saw 2 adult n 2 children wavin @ him near the tgt board. Hweva my sgt who nvr close hatch said he juz saw tgt board nothin else...

Tis wk i got new appt oso. Bcame welfare IC n 1st task is 2 do a proposal 4 a mini happy hr in camp on july. Got 2 form a committee oso. Heng got siang han n chok 2 help me. Nxt wk song goin simulator 2 play computer game n enjoy air con 4 gunnery phase. Haha. Nw got trning 4 army half marathon oso but sadly we r onli allowed 2 run 12 k coz we r 1st wk soldiers cannt run 21 k. Nw oso got intensive ippt trning 4 our course 2 achieve 70% gold. Nw got sgts 2 specially trn pple wk in board jump like me. Sian all of them pointed out tat my jumpin technique correct is i nvr jump high enuff. Bobian lar leg short is liddat wan. Nw shld realli focus on jumpin liao. Hopefully can get gold by nxt test.
